My students need a set of 3 Color Mixing Glasses and Liquid Tile Mats as part of our flexible seating and science connection to literature on the aspects of color.
I have curious, energetic, creative, inspiring and eager-to-learn kindergarten students in my classroom each year! I lead an organized, focused and differentiated learning environment with access to materials that addresses each need among various subject disciplines.
At the end of each year, I want my students to be confident learners, seekers of knowledge and great citizens for our school, their families and the community around us.
I work diligently for each student to be challenged daily and be the best that they can be, where he or she is at, in their kindergarten journey and beyond.
I have seventeen, full-time kindergarten students and seven additional developmental students that "push-in" for fifty percent of the day in the school year 2017-2018.
They all arrive with a variety of interests, talents, backgrounds and specific emotional and physical needs. All my students need fluid transitions, a prepared, print-rich and organized environment, sensory breaks and consistent encouragement to keep them focused and ready for each task ahead. My school is an amazing family of strong leaders and teachers, support staff, parents and community members.
My Project
I am working hard at creating a flexible environment within my classroom to meet the needs of a variety of students and their interests. I have set up areas in my room for station rotations and countless tools for hands-on, visual and engaging activities that help promote and secure learning. It is always my desire for learning to be fun and my classroom to be comfortable and exciting!
The liquid tile mats are made from very durable material in which students can stand or sit on while engaging in group or individual activities.
The Color Mixing Glasses will support our science objectives, give a hands-on/eyes-on example of our primary colors and their mystery and allow for creative brain breaks. I have soft seats, wobble seats and regular child seats and want to extend the choices that will make our classroom the best that it can be in our personalized learning journey!
