Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is going to be a great year for my kindergarten students. They will learn their ABCs, numbers, how to read and write and how to make new friends. Some of my students come to kindergarten with no English language and they leave my class reading. Seventy-five percent of the students at my school qualify for free lunch. Every student also qualifies for free breakfast every day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we need to make sure every student has eaten breakfast and are ready to learn. My school is full of great students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration. We work together to make sure each child is getting the best education they can!
My Project
Sight words are so important for my students to become good readers and writers. I tell my students that most sight words you have to see it and say it! With all these practice games and puzzles, my students will love to learn these new words.
I want my students to become great readers by the end of kindergarten, and these games will help me!
I love how these games and puzzles can be used by individual students, by partners, or in a small group with me. I would love to pull students in small groups and use these puzzles to build the word and then they can write it.
