My Students

My fifth-grade students are inquisitive, creative, and love to learn! It is one of my goals as their teacher to provide them with an exciting and engaging education.

My students live in a high poverty/low income part of rural Maine, despite these challenges they are resilient and come to school every day ready to learn!

Fifth grade is an exciting year! Students are growing into independent readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists! Their sense of wonder amazes me each and every day!

My Project

Currently in our classroom, we have four iPad minis and two Chromebooks. All of which have come from generous donors here on Donors Choose! We have used these pieces of technology daily, however, it's been a struggle with keeping all of the items charged and ready to use for the next day.

Full battery life and ready to use for our learning is what my students need!

If we received this secure charging station, that would mean every morning when my students arrive at school, all pieces of technology would be fully charged and ready to go!

Also, I would feel confident that all technology would remain safely stored away, being able to lock the charging station's door every night.
