My students need pencils/pens, math vocabulary cards (for reference), games (for review purposes) , and basic classroom essentials to keep our fire burning this semester.
My students are very motivated to do the best work they can. The students come in early for extra help and stay after school for extracurricular activities. My classroom is student centered and focused on helping students learn life skills and learn how to discover new concepts on their own.
We are a diverse school filled with students from many walks of life with many goals and outlooks, we also serve the military community around us.
These kids need everything we can give them in order to be successful now and in the future. These students need to see that teachers care and will do anything in their power to help them reach their goals. As a school we still hold high expectations for all kids and want them to be successful to reach and exceed their
My Project
No teacher should have to worry about not being able to provide the most basic resources for their students. Where I currently teach, I have access to resources, freedom over my curriculum and am given support to grow. Unfortunately, so many of the students are not prepared to start their day successfully and I want to remove that burden.We want every student to have equal access to supplies.
Many of my students do not have the means to buy necessary materials (or get them in a timely fashion) to help them be prepared for school.
Sometimes students show up at my classroom door lacking far more than school supplies. But, I want them to know that when they come in to my classroom they can set those worries aside.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are what they brainstormed to help keep the momentum going as we get prepared for semester 2. The pencils, markers, and other common school supplies will be used by the students, so that they may do not have to worry if they forget their supplies or don't have the means to get any right away. The board games are to offer and different approach to review. The chart paper will be used to create graphic organizers (for large display). Please help me get these for my students so that every student has the opportunity to be successful and learn.
