Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of beautiful and bright scholars. I learn from them as much as they learn from me. Over 50% of my students are English Language Learners so my class is full of various cultures and languages. They work hard every day and know their potential and worth.
My students know they are strong, that they can do anything they put their mind to, and that they are capable of anything!
They say this every single morning with me. My students are the bright future of the world.
My Project
As the second quarter quickly approaches, there are materials and resources my scholars need. For example, after one quarter of school we suddenly "ran out" of expo markers. These are necessary because they use them frequently for Daily 3 activities. Additionally, every day my students ask me for erasers so if there is an option to put it on the end of their pencil it will make our day much more efficient. The stamps get my students excited to do their work. This quarter I have just been putting a check mark but I believe the stamps will increase engagement and excitement.
The calm corner in my classroom has been successful and I want to continue to develop it.
The glitter balls will be an easy way for the students to calm down as they fill out their calm corner exit ticket. I have something similar in my classroom now that they love so I want to add more to the collection.
