I am a first year teacher that will be teaching second grade. I have not yet met my students but I am very eager to do so at the end of August. Our school is located in a diverse community Young children are capable of achieving so much when given the proper tools and opportunities for growth and learning. As a teacher, it is my job to give my students these opportunities, and to empower them by providing a solid foundation on which they build upon. I strive to do just that by making learning fun in order to instill a lifelong love of learning. With your help, I believe I will be able to deliver effective experiences and materials to help support their developmental growth in all areas of their education. Thank you for the consideration!
My Project
The supplies that I am requesting for my classroom will be essential to my students learning. Balanced Literacy instruction is a main component to their school day. The Kidney Table that I have on my list will serve as my guided reading table AND writing table! Of course the chairs will accompany the table. These supplies will be set up in front of my writing/reading focus wall, which will make the learning experience for my students that much more comfortable! The storage bins will be used for our classroom library. I plan on making the library easily accessible to my students to ensure they can make the most out of it. Last but not least, the name tags are of course for each individuals desk. We just need your help with getting these things into our room!
