My Students

Help us create a child-friendly space for our computer! My students need a child-sized computer desk so they can work at the computer and have everything they need in their reach.

I teach twenty second graders in a rural, high poverty school in Tennessee.

I think they are the best bunch of kids around! Our school has a little over 500 students in grades kindergarten through five. My students enjoy using the computer to take Accelerated Reader and Study Island quizzes.

My Project

I am requesting an adjustable computer desk. This desk is made of sturdy birch and will last many, many years. It can be adjusted from year to year if needed to suit the size of my students. My students would love to have a computer desk that is made for children. Our computer is currently on a table that isn't made for holding a computer. It is too tall for many of my students. Additionally, the computer components - monitor, CPU, and keyboard are crowded together. With a new computer desk, my students will be able to use the computer more efficiently.

A new computer desk is a luxury.

I realize that my students can go on without one, but I want to give them the very best whenever I can! My students use the computer everyday, and this desk will be a beautiful new home for it!
