Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second grade students need experiences that emphasize physical fitness and cardiovascular benefits. This can be accomplished by using physical education equipment that is appropriate for this age group.
Being second graders they at one time or another have been exposed to the use of the jump rope.
I have seen many of them during recess spend a little amount of time doing any activity that would be beneficial to their physical well-being. The supplies I asking for would serve the physical educational needs of all my students as well as provide materials they can use simultaneously.
My Project
My second grade students need motor skill development and regular physical activity. By utilizing the use of regular jump rope activities they will become more aware of their own personal fitness. In addition, they will develop an improvement in general over-all fitness as they are subjected to a daily routine
With the use of the jump ropes, parachute and movement activities, as well as aerobic activities with the use of supplemental c.d.s they will develop a lifetime habit of physical activity.
I am in the hopes that through a regular structured physical eduction program they will improve their cardiorespiratory fitness, control weight, and reduce the risk of health problems as they age.
