Help me give my students the supples that they need during the school year as well as books!! We have noticed that this year the students have a love for nonfiction texts and we don't have enough!
We teach amazing second grade students, who are English Language Learners and Special Education students. They are enthusiastic about learning and love to work with hands-on materials! All of the students receive free lunch.
They love learning and we love to engage them in lessons that both challenge and excite them.
While their home lives may not be ideal, they truly love coming to school and have shown such motivation to learn! Donating to our classrooms will impact these students more than you can even imagine!
My Project
We constantly use expo markers for math. When students are sitting at their tables or the rug, we are able to do quick checks to make sure they understand the concept being taught. Being able to download and print a book that the student wants to read at home, helps foster a love of literature that we instill in the classroom.
We would like to add to our already print rich classrooms, nonfiction texts.
This year we have noticed how intrigued the students are with nonfiction texts. These books will give the students the ability to choose what they wish to read, and be at a level where they will not be frustrated reading. The illustrations are always bright and speak volumes to our students.
