My students need a trip to the Biopark to learn about different animals up close and personal.
This project expired on March 6, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is 100% Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.
The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.
They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.
Learning doesn't have to always take place in the classroom. Many of our students come from low income families and do not have the opportunity to enjoy days out at the zoo or aquarium. This trip will allow all of our second grade students to attend our Biopark for the day.
Creating learning opportunities like this one for my students is the best part of my job.
This trip will not only get our students out in the fresh air but is will also allow students to see animals that we have studied in the different species categories up close and personal.
