My students need brand new books to expand our classroom library. A collection of classroom incentives will help them build their ability to be intrinsically motivated and classroom bins.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My students are bright, energetic, and eager to learn.
Every morning, my students journey from nearly every neighborhood in New Orleans to my second grade classroom. No matter how far they traveled, or what they experience at home, they enter the classroom with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to succeed. However, a lack of classroom supplies and materials hinders them from achieving their full potential. With your help, my students will have everything they need to set them up for success in second grade and beyond.
My Project
My students will use the table caddies, bins, and other organizational materials to keep their work safe and organized. By having an orderly classroom environment, my students will learn to take pride in their own work and belongings by being responsible for their caddies and table bins.
We will also expand our classroom library with a diverse set of books so that my students can explore all of their interests.
Additionally, a diverse assortment of classroom incentives will help my students develop their skills to become intrinsically motivated in their own rights.
My students need an organized and colorful classroom well-stocked with pencils, markers and organizational materials so that they can be successful learners and individuals, in second grade and in the future.
The classroom incentive program in place will help the later part of this goal by building up students' abilities to motivate themselves by providing exciting rewards.
