My students need multiple leveled book sets for their reading station to improve literacy. They also need a listening station and math manipulatives such as foam dice, fraction circles, and plastic coins.
As a first year teacher in my "own" classroom I am trying to provide my students with the best learning environment. I want my classroom to be a place they enjoy coming to every day and leave with many new skills to share with their families at home and friends in the community.
My students are from multiple districts around the greater community and are learning to be life-long learners and leaders.
My students are incoming second grade students of which will loop with me into third grade next year. We look forward to working together to our fullest potential for the next two years.
My Project
I am looking forward to my students being able to sit in their reading corner and are able to chose a book to read at their individual levels. They will be able to take what they read and apply it to other subject areas and activities throughout the year across the curriculum. They will also be able to implement all of the math manipulatives, such as foam dice, fraction circles, and plastic coins, into our lessons and make math become more interesting and fun.
