Our school is in need of nonfiction resources for students to use during guided reading and independent reading time. My classroom also needs storage containers, so students are able to keep track of all of their materials.
The students in my classroom have a desire to learn and our school is lacking the nonfiction books needed to encourage students to read nonfiction.
My students also need book boxes so they are able to keep their materials organized. The students in the school don't have resources at home and at times only read when they are at school.
My Project
If my project is funded students will be able to learn more about animals and other nonfiction topics. The students enjoy looking at the pictures in these types of books. Also my students enjoy having their own personal spaces for things. If they are able to have a colorful book tub they are more likely to use the tub to keep their books organized and want to read them.
Some children at my school don't have many things at home and the best part of their day is at school.
