My second graders love to learn! They are members of a wonderful school community of 400 students grades one through four in a rural town. They walk through the door each day with a smile on their faces, excited to see what the day has in store. They love learning and having fun as well as challenging themselves to become the best learners that they can be. I am lucky to be their teacher, as they do the same for me!
My Project
Students learn in many different ways and having a variety of seating options in our classroom will provide them the opportunity to learn in the way that will make them the most successful.
The items that this project will provide (ball chairs, lap desks, and a balance board) combined with the wobble stools and bouncy bands already available in our classroom, will give students choice in the places that they work and the type of seating they use.
This will encourage kiddos to really dig deep and find what's best for them.
These flexible seating options allow students a chance to keep their bodies busy while their brains are busy learning!
