My second grade students walk into the classroom excited and ready to learn each and every day!
Students are challenged and encouraged to make discoveries in the classroom through hands-on learning opportunities.
In second grade, students will spend this year building the crucial foundational skills they need for future success, both in and out of the classroom! We believe that through hard-work we are able to learn and expand our capacity for critical thinking and ability to problem solve. Every day is a new experience and a new adventure in second grade!
My Project
Help bring books that students love to our classroom! Students are always excited to get their hands on new and interesting books! Many reluctant readers cannot wait to open up the newest Bad Guys or laugh along with Dory Fantasmagory. Our class spends time everyday reading in the room. Students are more motivated to read when they have access to great books. The books included on our list were chosen by my students as the books they want to be able to check out of our classroom library.
This project will make a difference by growing their excitement and love of reading.
Also included is a new flexible seating option. My students have enjoyed having flexible seating for the first time this year and it has greatly increased engagement. We'd love to have another choice!
