Our is a Title I school. We are a small community school. We have many children who receive free and reduced lunch. We have a breakfast program in which every child in our school receives free breakfast. We provide an Extended Day Program in which many of our students attend because their parents work and they can not be picked up until a later time.
Children are our treasure, our key to learning.
Our students learn best by having their needs met. I strive to provide the very best learning environment for my students.
My Project
My kindergarten classroom would benefit greatly from a large group rug. I would use the rug for children to sit on while teaching, letters, sounds, numbers, colors and shapes, etc.
The classroom rug will be used as a teaching aide for introducing letters and numbers.
I teach whole group instruction in my kindergarten classroom. The rug allows each child to sit close to me and participate in instructional activities. The rug also allows each child to have their own personal place to sit.
Providing a child friendly environment is a priority for my students. This rug would be a valuable asset in our classroom.
