My class of six and seven-year-olds come to school to have a safe and inviting environment where they know they will be loved. Because of the students' socioeconomic status, they don't always have the opportunity to use engaging tools that increases their motivation to learn. We are a Title I school. I want to bring technology with driven and engaging ways to learn in the classroom to make learning fun and exciting each and every day.
I want my students to learn in an environment that they feel most comfortable.
My goal of teaching is to find tools and ways to increase that love of learning and for my students to become lifelong learners.
I use flexible seating in my classroom to give my students a flexible and comfortable environment to learn. I am requesting these OTTO Storage Stools to give my students a new option of a place to learn while also adding some needed organization.
These stools will organize my classroom in different ways.
I will use the two solid stools to store our floor cushions inside. These floor cushions are rounded and hard to keep in a place where they will be out of the way when not in use. They will fit perfectly inside the OTTO stools and not be a hazard for my students when moving about in the classroom.
I will use the other three to store materials that my students will need when at independent work stations. Some materials are too large to fit with the station bags and containers, the storage stools will provide the right amount of space to increase organization to help students learning.
