My Students

Jumping. Moving. Swinging. Swaying. Sound like your middle school student?

I am looking to create a classroom environment that allows kids to move and learn at the same time.

All of these little movements are energy balled up inside every middle school student. This is why I love flexible seating. It is a more comfortable and modern form of classroom seating. It allows students to get out their wiggles, be more comfortable, and make a choice in what works best for them.

My Project

I am asking for the yoga balls and stools to give kids a variety of seating in the classroom. These are unique seats that allow kids to still move while learning. This has been shown to increase learning.

The environment in a classroom is huge, and these seats will help set the tone for learning in my room.

I am confident that this will allow students with extra energy to burn it off without being a distraction to others, and teach them ways to cope with their extra energy.

With learning being the goal in my classroom, these seats will allow students a comfortable, safe, and unique environment. Students sit in groups each day and are allowed to choose their own seats based on what works best for them and their learning. They would be able to change seating with more of a variety, and these seats would add to their options in our ELA classroom.
