Our classroom is made up of nineteen students who are eager to learn. The students are creative, curious, passionate and hardworking individuals who are truly an amazing group to be with everyday! Our school is made up of a diverse culture where many students come from low socioeconomic households.
In our classroom, flexibility is key to a successful learning environment.
Each students becomes engaged in various ways. They deserve to have the opportunity of endless resources and multiple methods of learning.
My Project
Flexible seating helps students be engaged in their own learning ways. These desks would benefit students who choose not to sit in the metal chairs and traditional desks all day. Students will be able to focus on comprehending content and putting forth their best efforts instead on trying to find a comfortable area to work. The students in my classroom are all very unique! Each student is comfortable in different settings. These settings are always changing depending on how the students are feeling. These areas of learning also benefit students socially and emotionally. When students feel comfortable, they are willing to engage more! In our classroom students are able to stand, sit, lay down, and collaborate with their peers multiple times throughout the day. These desks would benefit multiple students in our classroom!
