Welcome to the Flathead Indian Reservation!! My students and I welcome you to our unique and beautiful area. We have gorgeous mountains and sprawling valleys. My students are unique and diverse. My students are creative, smart, energetic, and caring. We have many students that are decedents of the three tribes that live on the reservation. Sadly all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch on our reservation.
Even though we live in a beautiful setting the truth is we live in a very impoverished area.
Many of my students do not have enough food to eat and school is their only safe place to be. I want to do all that I can to make my students' day the best it can be. I want them to come to school and be full and happy while they are here.
My Project
I am looking for creative seating for my classroom to encourage learning. Creative seating gives the students the opportunity to choose where they would like to sit. By giving the students the option of choice they are more willing to learn in there environment. Choices give the opportunity to express there individual identity.
Creative seating engages young minds to express individual thinking.
When a student expresses individual thinking they are more receptive to learning. When they are more receptive to learning the whole room is in harmony. Creating a work environment that engages and teaches.
