Seating to Conquer Design

Help me give my students chairs which are more conducive to our classroom learning. Students are constantly moving from one project or station to the next. These chairs allow students to move with ease in our flex-space.

My Students

My students are an awesome mix of inner city and suburban kids and can be a challenge, if not challenged themselves. There is a pretty even split of girls to boys. In my Design classes, my students have the opportunity to put into practice the foundational skills taught in their core classes into real life, career scenarios. Their ideas are creative, innovative, and focus on thinking locally to help sustain the world globally; we just need the tools, resources, and materials to make their ideas into reality and then market them.

My Project

My classroom is all about moving and grooving around in order to apply the design process - these stools are most conducive to our flexible learning environment.

Students need to be able to move swiftly between different spaces and stations while meeting ergonomic needs.

We often divide our time between investigating and researching on computers to physically building inventions as well as collaborating with various teams on many different projects. By being able to move to different areas using these cool stools, transitions become easier and the flow of learning is not interrupted.

I already have a few of these in my class, so completing the set so that every student has a stool is my priority.
