My students need flexible seating in the classroom to help them learn independent and peer reading. With Multipurpose Kids Table and Chair my students will be able to utilize this as a reading and listening center.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a title one district, it is in the lower Yakima Valley which resided on the Yakama reservation. My students come from all walks of life and are eager to build their education surrounding by their community. My student are Pre- K ages 3-4. 100% of my students qualify for free and reduced priced lunch, which means most of our families are considered low income status. The majority of our students parents work long hours in agriculture and labor industries, which leaves little time for reading and academics at home.
I strive to make my classroom a safe environment by accommodating all students' social and academic needs.
My students are very eager to learn and excited to be long life readers .
My Project
The flexible seating will provide my students with different atmosphere for reading . My students will be bale to build their reading stamina comfortably, by utilizing all areas of the classroom. My students will have all access to peer and individual reading by utilizing the small table and chair for reading and listing center. With the inclusion model I will have 4-5 special needs children that rage from autism, gross and fine motor, and ADHD that will really benefit from the flexible seating in the classroom.
Because my students will be able to move in the flexible seating, this will allow them to participate in the reading and pay close attention.
Flexible seating will allow all my students access to a quality reading program. While accommodating their special needs. With the portable seat cushions the children will be able to choose their areas of leaning. Lastly I would love for all my students to feel comfortable in our class library by using the foam cushion chairs to build their stamina and read all they can .
