My students need a variety of floor seats in the classroom to help each of them focus while they work!
This project expired on December 1, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students enter the school building each day full of excitement, smiles, and energy. Each day my students learn new strategies and continue to work hard in order to continue learning. I work with a group of eager 4th graders, who continue to amaze me through daily learning, goal setting, and goal achievement.
As a teacher in a NC, where many students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch, students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, including the need for movement to enhance learning in a multitude of ways, starting with flexible seating in the classroom, where students can choose to sit, stand, or move to different styles of seating in order to be the best learners they can be.
My eager-to-learn Fourth graders are working in a classroom with the same set-up that I had as a child. Students are sitting in desks and chairs all day, and many are struggling to stay focused. I want to provide them with a variety of seating choices so they have an option to choose what works best for them individually. My students need a variety of seating options including comfy floor seats that can be used to complete work anywhere in the classroom. Being able to offer seating choices will make a huge impact on attention and student learning.
My students will love being able to choose seating options as they work independently in our classroom.
The comfy seats will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. I would love to give my fourth grade students as many different opportunities to be comfortable, select a working space, and to be able to move as they work, in order to ensure success.
