My Students

I teach an awesome group of 3rd graders who are eager to learn! One hundred percent of our students receive free lunches. We are located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood, and some of my students don’t have the best home lives. My students refuse to let anything keep them down, and they power through with positivity! Help me to build up the best science classroom!

My Project

My students come from a low socioeconomic neighborhood, and the school can sometimes be their only happy, safe place to go. My goal is to provide as much for my students as possible. Having flexible seating will allow my students to move freely around the room and sit where they feel the calmest. Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean, or stand which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep their young minds more alert and focused. Help me to help them!
