Mrs. Schmitz from Maple Lake MN is requesting Flexible Seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.

Seating for Success!

Help me give my students another option for seating. Wobble Chairs are designed for those students that need a physical challenge and to release energy while they work.

My Students

The children come into the classroom everyday eager to see their friends and learn a thing or two. Unfortunately, our current classroom environment doesn't possess certain items that could greatly enhance their learning and social opportunities.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

The important thing is not to stop questioning.- Albert Einstein I teach at a small school in a rural community. We are very progressive in our views towards technology and learning, but don't always have the budget to support this. I have a very energetic group of six and seven year old children. They are constantly on the move, excited to be at school and have wonderful imaginations

My Project

My students need options for seating to improve their academic success. I am asking for five Wobble Chairs..

Traditional classrooms contain chairs and tables that do not support the diverse learners' opportunity to be seated where they learn best.

Many students would benefit from burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increasing motivation and engagement, creating better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture.

Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.

These wobble stools will help to offer seating options and will help students take responsibility for their learning by understanding how they learn best.
