Help me give my students a rug, stadium seats, floor disks, and wobble chairs to have different seating options to meet their attention and focus needs.
I teach second-grade reading, writing and social studies to all Gifted and Talented students. They have active imaginations and bodies! I have a class full of wiggly second graders. My young writers love to have a variety of spaces to work on their projects.
Students are able to bounce on an exercise ball, sit, stand, kneel, etc.
Some of the seating options that will be provided with this project are wobble cushions, wobble stools, and exercise balls. All of these options will give my students the opportunity to sit comfortably and move around while they are learning.
My Project
This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day. I want them to feel comfortable and at home in our classroom. I cannot wait to see all of the things we can do with flexible seating!
Our community reading time will be enhanced as we gather on the giant rug to read and share.
My students will love to have a comfy space where they feel comfortable to express themselves and grow together. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
