Help me give my students flexible seating that will provide a calm, inviting atmosphere. Also, this seating will give students a choice in which seating arrangement is best suited for them when working.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are second graders from Worcester, Massachusetts. At least 50% of my students are English Language Learners and are a wonderfully diverse group of students! Nearly all of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. All of my students are eligible and receive free breakfast and lunch. My 2nd grade students are always eager and excited to learn and discover new things. Having materials to help organize our room allows for a productive and structured learning space. An organized room is a happy room!
My Project
The goal of flexible seating in my classroom is to have students feel comfortable in their learning environment. When they feel comfortable, they are ready to learn! Flexible seating will provide a calm, inviting atmosphere for my students. Also, the seating will give the students a choice in which seating arrangement is best suited for them. During centers, students can choose where they work and focus best!
A rug for our reading nook provides students with a comfortable place to get lost in a book!
Providing students with a rug in our reading area makes this an important and inviting space in our classroom. Additionally, stools for our back table allow for a fun and inviting area to work during center time. Our old chairs are falling apart and these fun stools would add a splash of color to our room. I am always trying to make our classroom comfortable and inviting to all students!
