My Students

Motivated, intelligent, and ambitious are just a few words to describe my diverse group of students from Northeast Philadelphia. I teach regular education, special education, and ESOL students. They excel greatly in my mathematics and science classroom.

They are compassionate and work as a team to make sure each person is growing academically.

We are a strong community who supports one another. My students' futures are very bright and they would be extremely grateful for any help they get to achieve their dreams. I currently teach two mathematics classes and two science classes.

My Project

A comfortable learning environment is critical to the academic success of children. My students need the chairs to feel comfortable in their learning environment. The majority of my current chairs are broken. They catch onto clothing and almost completely fall apart while my students are sitting in them. My students take care of the items in my classroom. They are just old and have seen better days. For a large part of their day, they are in my classroom. 90 minutes for math, 45 minutes for science, and 15 minutes for advisory. I want my room to be a welcoming, safe place to be where they feel valued.
