Help me give my students flexible seating options to best suit their needs of movement, independence, and variety. With these options, they will be able to sit around my room in a place that brings them comfort!
I've noticed in classrooms with flexible seating options, the kids are frequently more engaged, cheerful, and overall focused. They have the means to learn productively while also getting out their "wiggles". I don't currently have any flexible seating options for my students, but would love for that to change.
Being comfortable at their learning stations is likely to increase my kids' happiness, productivity, and attention span.
Having the variety will allow them to have independence and choice, which will further help their desire to be at school to learn.
I have seen the way that kids can thrive when the classroom is set up with them in mind, and I cannot wait for my room to be in that category as well! All contributions are appreciated and will be helping an awesome, creative incoming group of 5th graders!
