Our multi-age classroom is a community of learners and growers. We spend two years with our students, guiding them and watching them blossom. We emphasize working together and being a community. Students help one another and learn in the best way, by teaching others.
Our students are an amazing and diverse group of third and fourth graders.
They come from high poverty areas. School is often their comfort place and provides food, as well as stability. The school is Title I funded. Our classroom is like a community, and we want the students to feel comfortable and safe while learning.
My Project
My students are so lucky to already have received two new iPads from this wonderful digital storytelling opportunity. Now I would like to make the story telling area funcitional and comfortable for their story telling experiences with seating cushions .
I have set up a place in the classroom where the students can make their stories and spend hours creating.
The students love to create masterpieces and use the tools of iPads to make their stories come alive . The cushions will make their storytelling area comfy and fun. I can’t wait to see what else they can create in their new story telling area!
