My Students

I teach in an urban school district at a Title I school. 100% of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students are eager to learn. I enjoy teaching them daily and watching for teachable moments when the students grasp the concept or social skill personally. They are hard working students and want to learn. I strive to provide a calm, peaceful and engaging environment for our students through mindful moments and brain gym exercises on a daily basis.

My Project

My students will benefit from a variety of seating during their work time in the classroom. The stools and spot seating add focused seating for the students to enhance their learning.

The colorful stools will give students special seating while at the small group table.

The design of the stools give the students a chance to wiggle while they work. The colorful spot seating will give the student places to sit during group work time. We work in groups much of the time and this will give students an opportunity to use an interesting way to form and manage group work seating on the floor.
