Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! They love exploring their environment and learning new things. I teach at a Title I Star School where more than half of our students qualify for free or reduced-price meals, and twenty percent are English Language Learners. Our students come from diverse backgrounds including English Language Learners, military families and students currently experiencing homelessness. Our class has many diverse learners including students with special needs.

Our students are excited to learn and I want to give them the best possible school experience.

In addition to the school curriculum, my students are learning kindness, patience, and understanding towards all students with various abilities. I want my students to strive for the best and to keep their love of learning alive as they continue in their education. I hope my classroom is a safe place where we can learn and share together.

My Project

As we begin to bring kindergarten to school in small groups, we are switching from community tables to individual desks. We are trying to ensure that students do not need to share space or materials in order to safely bring students back during Covid-19

By donating to our project, you will also help us to achieve the life skill of organization.

This trait is taught across all grade levels, and the Seat Sacks will help us to organize our belongings for the day. We will learn to be responsible for our own educational tools.
