My Students
I have a class of 21 eager and awesome kindergarten students. They love coming to school and are excited to do the many activities that are planned for each day! Many of them have not attended Pre-K and are experiencing school for the first time. These students are having to catch up with those who were in the Pre-K program.
A large percentage come from low income families.
Our school also has a significant population of English language learners. They live in a small rural community. Academic resources are limited in our small community.
My Project
Seat sacks will free up space on the tables my students sit at for class work. Supplies and papers are currently stored in tubs and folders in the center of each table. Seat sacks would allow us to remove these from the tables and give students much needed workspace.
Language and Math Center times will be much less cluttered by removing these tubs and folders.
Student supplies can be stored in the seat sacks and increase available work space at the tables.
My students love working in centers but they have trouble keeping everything on the tables when working. Seat sacks will make Center time much more enjoyable and much less cluttered.
