My students need seat sacks to increase accessibility and encourage independence in the classroom. These resources will allow students to focus their attention on classwork instead of looking for materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are Transitional Bilingual kindergartners in a classroom in which both the English and Spanish languages are spoken. Every day, they arrive into the classroom with an eagerness and enthusiasm to show an understanding and continue to gain knowledge of the curriculum being taught in the classroom.
The students come from many Central American, South American, and Caribbean countries, bringing diverse cultures and knowledge into the classroom setting.
Mostly all of my students have the ability to speak Spanish.
My Project
In my first year in the classroom, I was provided with second-hand seat sacks for the students to store their notebooks, workbooks, folders, and other belongings. Students are seated in groups of six. Each child has their own seat sack for their chair.
These seat sacks provide easy access to the students' materials throughout the day, therefore allowing students to stay focused on their learning.
Instead of searching around the room for supplies, students will be free to spend valuable time on their classwork.
Unfortunately, these resources have begun to show their age, with many of the seat sacks becoming torn and unusable. Providing my students with a new set of seat sacks will enable them to start the year off right!
