Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I school with 100% of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. My classroom consists of 22 second graders who are English language learners. The majority of my students do not speak English at home. They speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi, or Tagalog. Our school is the only place where they speak and practice English.
I strive for my students to have the best learning environment that they can have.
Most of my students live in low socioeconomic homes. They come to school every day excited to work hard to learn new ideas and skills. I want them to have the best experience they can so that they can grow up and be whatever they set their minds to. By providing my students with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they can experience success!
My Project
This project is for seat sacks. Having seat sacks will provide my students with a place to keep all of their supplies such as their dry-erase boards, markers, books and water bottles all in one place. They will use their seat sacks to keep these supplies organized. Seat sacks are great for storing and organizing school materials while keeping them easily accessible.
These seat sacks will give my students the opportunity to have all of the tools they need right at their fingertips.
Seat sacks hang on the back of students' chairs. With a class set of seat sacks, my students can learn two of the most important skills of their lives, organization and responsibility.
I am asking for seat sacks in order to keep my students organized, provide a place for students to store their school materials, and conserve classroom space.
I cannot expect them to be successful if I do not provide them with resources that set them up for success. With seat sacks, our classroom will run smoother and with less clutter. By giving my students a place to keep their supplies, they will be able to continue and strengthen their individual learning!
