Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the greatest group of Kindergarteners around! Kindergarten is such a special year as my students are gaining independence and taking on more and more challenging tasks to improve their skills! The community I teach in is a lower income area. My school is a Title I school, and most of my students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. Through all of our differences and walks of life, my classroom is a place of community and together we have become a family!

My Project

These seat sacks are a unique way to help keep my kinders safe as our school plans to do a varied distance learning program. Students will have a safe and organized place to put all of their supplies. Having these seat sacks will allow children to keep their math manipulatives and learning tools away from other students. There will not be any opportunities to have shared supplies for health and safety reasons.

They will help with classroom management and routines for keeping supplies ready and available for any in classroom time allowed.
