Seat Sack and Staying on Track

Help me give my students an easy and effective way to organize their belongings. My students are in a Kindergarten/1st Grade bridged self-contained classroom. We have recently moved to a more appropriate early childhood friendly classroom with tables.

My Students

My students come from a low-income neighborhood, but that does not define them. My students live in an area of New York that was severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy, but that does not define them. My students can be defined by their perseverance and their ability to positively impact their small beach-front community. My students come from a variety of situations that they must overcome just to get to school. They are the youngest learners who need the most love and nurturing I can provide.

My Project

My students and I have recently moved classrooms just this week. We are moving to the Kindergarten wing in our building where we can finally be alongside our general education peers. We are moving from a class with desks to a classroom with tables. As the tables do not offer storage we are looking for a solution to keep my students organized, and cut down on transition times between activities. Seat sacks would help to alleviate the extra time it takes to get books from all areas of the room. My students are in for a big change with the classroom environment moving from a smaller class to a larger class. Please help us make this transition process much easier with such a simple tool that will truly help my students.
