Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Each child in my classroom is special in their own way! My students are faced with challenges in school and out of school. Each day we encourage the children to come to school with a smile and to explore the classroom.
Many of these children learn about the world through television and I am hoping for them to explore and learn through active play.
I want to challenge and inspire the children in my classroom to become life long learners!
My Project
I choose materials to support math and science (STEM) in my classroom. There are math games that can get the children counting and exploring numbers. This is a great skill to have whether just starting preschool or will be going into kindergarten next year.
I believe we have future engineers or architects in this class!
This is why I chose to request a design and build kit with many different types of engineering materials. Some of our children start the program once they turn 3. This really gives us a variety of ages and varied skills in the program, which is why I decided to order materials for varied age groups.
