This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. We are a Title One school and service predominantly low income students. My students are amazing and excited to start a new school year.

Most of my students only have access to technology during school hours so any technology would help me expose them to google classroom and word processing.

As well as many online educational websites. This will be an invaluable tool for my students for years to come.

My Project

This will help me continue with novel studies in my class. This is only my 2nd year in 6th grade so I don't have a big classroom library. I am slowly trying to build my classroom novel sets. I was gifted The Lightning Thief set from a retiring teacher.

We are currently in book 1 of The Lightning Thief and the kids are so excited.

They keep telling me how much they are loving our current novel study so this set will keep us going too.

We are a Title One school and we do not have funds to buy classroom sets.
