My Students
I teach energetic and imaginative kindergarten students in a high-poverty, Title I elementary school. These children come to school every day excited and eager to learn and explore. They are hard-working, kind, and respectful.
Nothing is better than seeing the look each student gets when he or she has an "ah-ha" moment while learning.
They start the year as a blank canvas and grow into readers, writers, and independent thinkers. These students show every day why teaching is the greatest job in the world.
My Project
Children are constantly on the go, exploring the world around them. Snacks are the needed fuel these young learners need to get through the afternoon successfully.
An afternoon snack, will help my students learn better by being alert, improve mood, and concentration.
Being hungry can distract a child from learning and may cause irritability. My students are passionate, caring, and imaginative thinkers. Giving my students a snack will give them the needed boost to get through the afternoon fueled, and ready to explore. The prepackaged snacks will also allow for no mess and easy distribution, so we can get back to learning quickly.
