Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are starving to learn more and as a sixth grade math teacher, that is something so great. They come from a high poverty background, but they do not let that get in the way of their learning.

My students have not historically been successful in math and are reluctant to take risks and try new things, because they fear failure.

I want to give them a different way to learn math in hopes of them enjoying it. They get bored doing so much paper-and-pencil work so I try to incorporate different games and hands on activities as often as I can.

My Project

We love playing different kinds of games in my class. One in particular that we like is Jeopardy. The Eggspert would make playing all the different games so much easier and exciting for my students. The little sound effects and the way they light up would make the games more fun. And that is just one example of how it can be used.

I realize this may be a tough decision for you, especially since there are thousands of Donors Choose projects out there waiting to be funded.

I just want you to know that my students could really use this Eggspert buzzer to enhance their learning and lead them to a path of lifelong learners.
