We have the amazing pleasure of teaching in a Transition/Work Readiness program for young adults ages 18-22. Our program provides enhanced transition services to those students who elect to continue their education, specifically in the area of workplace readiness, after they graduate from their home high school.
We work hard to provide meaningful on-campus as well as off-campus work opportunities within the community to help prepare our young adults for a successful and smooth transition to the world of work.
My Project
These supplies will assist us in the start up process for establishing a successful coffee cart work opportunity on our large high school campus. When surveyed in the Fall of 2019, we had an overwhelming response from campus staff who are excited and ready to support our program's desire to offer this vocational training opportunity for our young adults.
Through the coffee cart, our students will be able to learn integral workplace skills, including inventory control, cleaning, customer service, money management, product delivery, etc.
They will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running a business in a structured environment.
