This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing, resilient, funny, vibrant, intelligent, and incredibly curious. They LOVE learning about the world around them with energy, enthusiasm, and imagination. We are a Title I school that serves a community that is in desperate need of quality education modes. These students love interactive lectures, discussions, and thrive when they feel like they were really there. This technology will help feed the students inquisitive nature as we dive into the past. I hope to use this technology to mold them into analytically, and globally minded citizens.

The iPad and sound bar will allow me to construct immersive lessons that engage and inspire students to be curious and enjoy tackling the history, wonders, and social issues of the world around them.

These students also love the "vibe" of the lighting in my room. I plan to use the lamps to set up reading stations for students to feel like they are at an upscale library while they work and read. I also do not have a clock in my classroom at the moment and it would be a nice addition for the students to know exactly where they are in their day. I have also asked for pens because, like me when I was a student, they often do not have the supplies that they need. They love when I am able to slap a pen on their desk like it magically appeared just for them.

I love these students and I know that with these supplies, I can engage and produce even more creative, fun, and interactive lessons to help them grow as people, citizens, and learners. They and I would greatly appreciate any and every contribution. It will allow me to create a loving atmosphere in my classroom, and lessons that are immersive and stimulating.
