I have the privilege of teaching students in every grade level in my school. Through my physical education class, I get the chance to help my students be physically active and learn about the many opportunities they have to stay healthy.
Create a safe and exciting learning environment for all of my students.
When my students come to my class, they are excited and ready to participate every time they enter the gym. My goal is to create an exciting learning environment for them that allows them to be successful so they will enjoy physical activity as they get older. I teach in a Title I school which contains low-income families. All of the students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch. So when students come to my physical education class I want to give them opportunities they may not get outside of the classroom. Creating these opportunities for my students won't just make a major impact in the classroom, but help create a life-changing experience for them as well.
My Project
Being able to have these 16" scooter boards will make a huge improvement in my physical educations classes. Having the 16" scooter boards not only creates fun activities for my students to stay healthy, but they will also help keep my students safe because they are bigger/more developmentally appropriate for my 3rd-5th graders.
I can hear it now: The laughter of students combined with the communication of teamwork and student learning taking place.
In my classroom, the scooters will create more opportunities to help engage students in physical activity, teamwork and of course, FUN! For many of my students just having the chance to be physically active is tough outside of school, so by creating chances for these students inside of my classroom that are fun and intriguing to my students can truly be life-changing.
