The student body is diverse, both racially and socioeconomically. Fifty percent of our student body is white and fifty percent represented by five minority groups. Forty percent of our children’s families qualify for the free or reduced meal program. Students come to our charter from all across Charleston County.
The school is growing from K-2 to K-8 in 2020.
With this growth comes huge opportunity to grow with our students and prepare them to be successful in high school, college and beyond.
My Project
My students are in need of a few new items for physical education! Especially kindergarten through 2nd grade. Much of our current equipment is limited and there are not enough scooters or hula hoops for each student to have their own during class. Nothing is worse than waiting your turn for a scooter!
Voyagers will use scooters and hoops to build core strength, as well as have a blast!
As a new school, we are growing! As we add students and grades, I need help adding equipment. The students deserve to be actively engaged the entire time they are in physical education.
