Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn and eager to question the world. They want to be given options to prove their thinking. They do not want to be told to do things.
They want to be participants in their learning.
When they become participates they not only learn but they remember and they adapt the new information to their daily lives.
These students are our tomorrow. They will become our world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.
My Project
My students will have the opportunity to use these microscopes and slides to see what a scientist can see. We have been learning about plant life cycle and using the microscope will give them an opportunity to explore more.
They have the opportunity to see the real thing.
They will see for themselves the differences between a plant cell and an animal cell. They will then understand how all cells work together to build all living things.They will do research to get a better understand of how science work.
My hope is to be able to incorporate these microscopes into the new NGSS science lessons in exciting ways.
