My sweet kinder kiddos LOVE to learn! They come in each day with such excitement, asking, "What are we learning about today?" First and foremost my goal is to make sure they always feel safe and know that they are loved. After meeting those needs, I do everything I can to provide them with the resources to make learning fun and engaging so that their interest and spark to learn continues to grow.
They thrive when they get the chance to learn with a hands-on approach about different topics, working independently or in small groups.
It is an honor to work with these kids who love being read to, taking part in hands-on activities and having the ability to move around and explore as they learn. Kindergarten is the first experience in school for many of my students and will set the tone for their next twelve years in education. I want it to be as positive as possible so that they will look forward to learning for the rest of their lives.
My Project
These STEM activities will allow my students to explore science, architecture, and engineering in a hands-on, age appropriate way. Together we love to learn and problem solve through real life situations. With these stations, my students will use critical thinking skills to plan and build their own roller coasters and paths for balls to travel through!
Having a hands-on approach to learning will keep my students engaged and eager to learn and problem solve.
These stations will be utilized throughout the year in science lessons, small group exploration, independent stations, and indoor recess.
