My Students

I teach AP Biology and Anatomy and Physiology to juniors and seniors. My students are amazing!

In my classroom we have an incredibly wide diversity of students with extraordinarily diverse backgrounds and abilities.

I love this school and these kiddos and want nothing more than to give them all I have every day! With your help, I can provide a little boost this year to the kids and hopefully open up the world of science in a way few have seen before.

My Project

I had an idea while looking at the Cricut machines this summer to take a lot of the laborious work out of the advanced modeling that we require of our students in on-level Anatomy and Physiology and Advanced Placement Biology. This machine allows for endless creativity in the sizes and shapes of an infinite number of modeling scenarios. Imagine having to model the circulatory system, you might reach for markers and paper and start drawing... no try drawing and cutting out dozens of shapes and sizes to bring this model to life... to much labor, not enough modeling and scientific trials. Students will be able to dream up, draw out, print/cut pieces and build... not just cut and paste. I will purchase with my own funds (when I obtain them) if the project doesn't make funding because I think it could be fantastically valuable and useful on a daily basis. Thanks so much!
