My students need three scientific inquiry labs to further increase their knowledge of the scientific process.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Science is part of our daily lives: all day, every day, everywhere we go. Our personal lives are real world contexts for learning science and understanding the impact of science on our lives.
We are a public school enrichment program for students in grades 3-7 in rural Kentucky.
Our students attend our program one day a week during the school day. All of our students come from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. They are identified gifted and talented in science, mathematics or general intellectual abilities. We also serve students who have a strong interest in science and math.
The students working with these scientific inquiry labs will be enriched by these lab investigations in a multitude of ways. During the process of these labs, they will gain a better understanding of the design and conduct of scientific research while increasing their ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate scientific concepts to everyday life.
My project is important simply due to the fact that our students' need exposure to quality scientific materials and investigations.
This project will enable them to work with materials that will challenge their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
