My students need a large flash drive to save their lab reports, routers because we do not have wifi, and a hard drive to backup information.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Scientific Inquiry in a classroom, i.e. hands on activities and lab reports, which requires the use of computer technology these days. My students need the ability to learn how to back up their projects and incorporate the information in our lessons on physics of technology.
My students are low income minorities that have a lot of potential if given the opportunity.
In these hard economic times our school has lost many resources which requires the teachers to adapt to the circumstances. We are a title 1 school in poverty, and at level 4 under the No Child Left Behind Act. My students need to reach for the future in the computer age to keep up with other school districts with much more funding. Our children are the key to our future.
My Project
The flash drive will help my students save their lab reports and projects so they can hand to me the drive and i can grade the report on the computer and send it back to them through their email.
The routers are needed since our school district has eliminated the use of wireless routers to cut costs...in my science lab i have laptops however the students will not be able to use the internet without the routers.
Also, the external backup drive will allow me to save all of my students work and make sure its safe, and to use this at the end to reflect on all their projects and reports in the middle of the school year and at the end. Our school has a very limited amount of paper so printing labs and projects will not be available this year!
I believe that investigation through scientific inquiry is the best knowledge our students can receive since they use inquiry on a daily basis in their lives.
Our children need to understand that science is the past, present and future.
